FELLOW SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY ALUM, THE TALENTED ERIC ELEY
I was very fortunate to be studying at Syracuse University while Eric Eley studied sculpture. I sadly did not get to know him until my final semester. A total sweetheart and as you can see genius with sculptural forms, space, and concept. His work speaks for itself.
Info from Eric's website: "Now Seattle-based, Eric Eley was born in Iowa in 1976. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, and has a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. In the time between his degrees, Eley spent two years as an artist-in-residence at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana where he received the Taunt Fellowship. Currently, the artist is represented by Art Agents Gallery, Hamburg, Germany and Platform Gallery, Seattle, Washington. Both his sculptures and drawings – including works on paper and resin-based compositions – have been shown throughout the United States as well as internationally in Belgium, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland."
